Jerman Velasquez is the Chief Operating Officer of Momentum CRM, a customer relationship management platform built exclusively for franchised automotive dealerships and dealer groups across the United States, Puerto Rico and Canada. Based in Orange County, California, he runs the operating side of the business: product integrations and the partner ecosystem, OEM programs and certifications, sales, support, security and compliance, and the full dealer lifecycle from a new store install onward. His first name is pronounced like Herman; the J carries the Spanish H sound.
His career spans roughly twenty-five years at the intersection of automotive retail and software, and he has sat on all three sides of the desk: the dealer's, the manufacturer's and the vendor's. He joined the Momentum family in 2006 as a Senior Consultant with Universal Dealer Consultants, the dealer performance firm from which Momentum CRM grew. Operating out of New York, he spent nearly a decade on the road, serving more than 1,000 dealership clients and conducting over 2,000 dealership visits across all fifty states, Puerto Rico and Canada, and worked directly inside the offices of several manufacturers as an embedded in-house consultant, including a multi-year engagement as Program Director at BMW of North America. As Director of Drive Performance Group he led more than 80 consultants serving over 400 dealer clients. That stretch cemented a conviction that has defined his leadership since: the best automotive software is designed by people who have had to live with bad automotive software.
He moved to Southern California in 2019 as Momentum's Chief Product Strategist and was promoted to Chief Operating Officer in April 2023. Along the way he made Momentum a Toyota SmartPath approved CRM, set the open-integration philosophy that now connects the platform to every major dealer management system and OEM certification program, and has led partnerships across digital retailing, telephony, AI and analytics.
